This vintage style farmhouse clock sign advertising chicken coops is handmade with a brush, paint, and rustic wood so you won't find it in a Pottery Barn. We're told the price would be exorbitant. Your friends and family will quickly see and comment on the difference. It features a coconut white antique shade and its' rough-hewn complexion comes from a 10 step, 2-day distressing process created through years of trial and error.

We handpick pallet wood from Jamaica to Japan that's acquired a lifetime of nicks and bumps. A wooden clock with this level of charm would otherwise take years using store-bought lumber. Constructed for longevity, Goathopper wall clocks are to be passed down for generations. The Cassidy hails from our Farmhouse collection.

Whether it's urban modern, vintage coastal or modern farmhouse design the Grasshoppers proven adaptability makes it a perfect utility piece for any wall including the kitchen, den or outdoor porch.

NOTE: We could make you a clock in a day, but it would show. The real deal takes 3 to 5 business days Only then does it earn the famous Goathopper seal and logo on the face. We've been told it's well worth the wait.

Will my farmhouse wall clock look just like the one pictured?

Hopefully not. Years of pallet duty in the elements impart each wooden plank with its own unique grain, coloring, and topography. Our customers celebrate these character-rich imperfections. Those potential variations include knots, cracking, old nails and damage from insects. Unlike plywood or MDF, your wood (and thus your clock) are alive and will change with the settings by slightly warping and shifting. Your beach or Farmhouse clock is made and meant only for you.

How quickly will I receive my clock?

We could make you a clock in a day, but it would show. The real deal takes from 3 to 5 business days for us to make and ship. We've been told it’s well worth the wait.

How should I care for my Goathopper wall clock?

The tough pallet wood from your clock has been battered by forklifts, rain and abuse so it’s not especially needy. While we don’t recommend leaving it in the elements without cover, a Goathopper presently works just fine on a screened porch where last year it ranged from a bitter 5 to a humid 104 degrees.

Why do you use old pallet wood?

  1. CONSERVATION
All of our wood is 100% re-purposed so no trees are sacrificed. Moreover, when you buy a clock, we plant a tree. We've been called tree huggers on more than one occasion and we're proud of it.

  2. RESILIENCE
It's tough. The blue collar of wood. Otherwise it would not have been selected for pallet duty. Right?

  3. CHARACTER
In a previous life our reclaimed pallet wood delivered everything from olive oil to umbrellas so each plank has a story to tell. Every bump and nick along the way adds up to a weathered, rustic, farmhouse complexion.

What is a Goathopper?

Legend is in many Caribbean villages there used to exist a man called the Goathopper. He would collect from your land all the dried goat dung, prized for its use as a fuel and in making coffee. As payment for his service he would keep 1/2 of the day's dung collection and offer it for sale on his route. Goathoppers were a cheerful and happy go lucky sort and were quick with an amusing joke or story. Our mission is to infuse the Goathopper's spirit into every handmade, rustic farmhouse wall clock.
